RELIEF FROM WITHIN: the first FDA-approved treatment to help target a primary cause of GPP

Unlocking a treatment for generalized pustular psoriasis

Keyhole with fire symbolizing IL-36 pathway imbalance in GPP

The barrier:
an imbalance in the IL-36 pathway

GPP, or generalized pustular psoriasis, is caused by an imbalance in a part of your immune system known as the interleukin-36 (or IL-36) pathway. When this pathway is out of balance, your body experiences ongoing and potentially life-threatening inflammation.

The key:
how SPEVIGO works

SPEVIGO is the first FDA-approved therapy for GPP. It helps control the activity of the IL-36 pathway, targeting GPP inflammation within the body, including the skin.

Other diseases, like plaque psoriasis, are primarily caused by different pathways, including IL-17 and IL-23. Treatments that impact the IL-17 or IL-23 pathways may not treat GPP.

SPEVIGO is a type of treatment known as a biologic. It works within the body to target and address a specific part of the IL-36 pathway that causes inflammation in GPP. The precise way IL-36 activity may impact the treatment of GPP flares is not fully understood.
